Evenley Parish Walks

 All walks meet at the village shop. Walks will take place whatever the weather so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Some routes may be altered due to conditions on the day.

Play reading - Roots

Friday 22nd September at 7.00 pm

15 Church Lane, Evenley Roots by Arnold Wesker presents the struggles of an uneducated working class woman. Contact Carrie or Kevin if you want to come to read or listen.

Understanding Music

Tuesdays at 3.00 pm 15 Church Lane, Evenley

This is a course of six one hour sessions for absolute beginners in music theory. It will cover such things as scales, chords, notation. If you sing in choirs but cannot read music or just want to no more, this is for you.

Autumn Song with Polymnia

Saturday 14th October at 7.30 pm St George’s Church, Evenley

Polymnia is a chamber choir of 22 voices based in Milton Keynes. The choir has sung in Italy, Spain and Croatia as well as concerts closer to home.

 Tickets are £10 (no concessions) which includes canapés at the interval. Wine and soft drinks available for donations. Proceeds to St George’s Church. Tickets from Carrie or Kevin on 702300 or

Wendy Freestone

Wednesday 8th November at 2.30 pm Evenley Village Hall NN13 5SH

Acclaimed artist and Evenley resident, Wendy will give a talk about her artwork and her career to date.  This year, her sculpture ‘Watching’ was chosen to be included in this year’s Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and attracted much attention and sales.  We are delighted that Wendy is taking time off to talk to us. The Stage is Yours

Friday 17th November at 7.30pm Evenley Village Hall NN13 5SH

Read a poem, tell a story, do a comedy turn, sing a song, do a short piece of drama...the stage is yours! You can of course just come and watch! If you want to perform, let us know soon. September 14th 2017 Advance notification of highway improvement works & location plans

Evenley Parish Council has learnt from NCC that "Highways England" have plans in place to IMPROVE PEDESTRIAN access across the A43 improving the links between Evenley and Brackley.  

  • Three traffic light controlled crossings are planned (shown in red on the plan which can be found by clicking here);
  • together with changes to the alignment of the roundabout and
  • introducing three lanes on A43 at the roundabout entrances to increase the number of vehicles that can navigate the A43 north and southbound. 

The works are being planned to complete 2017
