STREET LIGHT Consultation Feb/March 2018

Evenley has an ageing stock of streetlights around the village. Some of these, noticeably around the Green have been replaced in recent years with Victorian style lamps and in the last couple of months, in Church Leys and Lawyers Close. Around the rest of the village are some 37 streetlights, of varying designs, with many up to forty years old. These lights currently use high energy bulbs, some of which are no longer manufactured. Cllr Spencer Burnham has led the team to look at upgrading and replacing these lights to ensure their (and our) safety, save money in the future as well as enhancing the look of the village.
