Here you will find the key facilties and amenities in the Parish of Evenley.
Our village is blessed with a much prized and wonderful green. The war memorial, Forge Coffee & Post Office, the village hall and The Red Lion are on or around it. It is the heart of the community and centrepiece of Evenley life. It also has the distinction of being the finest village green in Northamptonshire lying within the conservation area. It was laid out in its present form by the Pierrepoints in about 1850.
This can be found in the Red Lion pub garden and was created and funded by Evenley Residents Association in 2014.
The ERA is grateful to its major sponsors, The Red Lion, BMW PLC, Rymer Ltd, Beachborough School, Brackley Wines, Waitrose PLC and the many heroes in the village that helped with fundraising.
This fascinating collection can be found in the back room of the Red Lion pub.
Evenley Common (known as Pocket Park until June 2022) is situated off Bicester Hill on the southern edge of Evenley village. It is registered common land containing scrub thickets and grassland. The grassland contains several rare species including Dark Mullein and Knapweed Broomrape.
Evenley Village Hall is a fantastic, versatile community space, established for the benefit of the local community. The main hall has a busy schedule of regular events and activities throughout the week, but is available for hire for private functions, musical events, meetings and commercial activities. A drinks licence can be arranged on request.
The village hall annual general meeting will take place on Monday 26th June 2023, 7.30pm at the hall. Everyone is most welcome to attend.
