Volunteer Bureau
SNVB works across the whole district of South Northamptonshire and works with volunteers and local voluntary groups on a day to day basis
SNVB place and support volunteers and offer support to organisations which use volunteers. Organisations turn to SNVB when they need volunteers or want advice or help with managing and developing their activities.
Some of the support includes
- Village Networks a Big Lottery funded service providing professional free & independent advice and support on welfare benefits, debt and pensions, utility bill savings, computer courses and job seeking advice
- Minibus for hire a new 17-seater minibus (16 passengers), delivered in June 2015, not only supports the Village Networks project but it can also be hired by not-for-profit groups, including schools and councils, who register as members of our Community Minibus Scheme. - Garden Buddies is a lottery funded project where volunteers provide practical help to elderly and disabled people, who have no other means of support, enabling them to maintain and enjoy their gardens.This community project aims to offer support to the most needy while also providing a positive focus for volunteers of all abilities.
- Volunteer Car Service providing free transport for people who are unable to get to medical and social care appointments.
